# Workload effort capacity count on project in a portfolio view and project view.

Hello,  
Is it possible to manage total effort count on a single project. It sums up task count, but i cannot find the sum on a project level. I know that you can add custom level for hours per project.  
But to do a proper ressource management in a portfolio it would be wonderful to have an overview here on project workload…  
Any one having any insight here.

Maybe i need to export the data and create a Dashboard external to Asana…?

Hi @krestine_mougaard, welcome to the Asana Community Forum!

You can create a report by project and effort custom field using the [Advanced Search](https://asana.com/guide/help/fundamentals/search#gl-search-views) feature:

In your report, you can [multi-select](https://asana.com/guide/help/faq/multiselect) your tasks to see the total of the custom field values.

Alternatively, you can also [export your project](https://asana.com/guide/help/projects/actions#sts=Export%20your%20project) to CSV and convert to Excel or Google Sheets.

How come that you cannot have this appear in the project itself. The sum function is already there. Why not just have it as a project sum. Anyway thanks a lot. Have a great day…
