Workload doesn't show tasks that have a "parent" task

Briefly describe (1-2 sentences) the Bug you’re experiencing:
In the Workload view in portfolio, only tasks without a parent task are being displayed, while tasks with parent tasks are excluded from the view. This behavior changed from yesterday when all tasks, regardless of parent tasks, were visible. It doesn’t matter if parent task belong to a board from the portfolio or not.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Create a board “A”.
  2. Add two tasks to the board “A”.
  3. Set a date for each task.
  4. Convert one of the tasks into a subtask (select any parent task e.g. task from board “B”)
  5. Add converted subtask to Board “A” again (converting to sibtask removes project) .
  6. Access the Workload view in the portfolio. → only 1 task is visible

We have this issue as well! At the moment we are not able to allocate our resources properly and have to manually look through the calendar view for all our employees.

We have the same problem aswell. Overnight, all the subtasks in the workload disappeared, which makes planning very difficult right now.

We just payed a $7.606 bill to Asana and now our planning stands still in our entire organization. Asanas support reply is “we are quite busy right now and replies will take longer than usual”.

Everyone with this issue is losing customer credibility and money by the minute, Asana please prioritize this.

Portfolio Workload is no longer showing assigned tasks. We’ve not made any changes to the workload settings or projects feeding into workload, but all of a sudden the tasks (completed and incomplete) are no longer appearing, and we cannot see if team members are at capacity or not.

Steps to reproduce: There are no steps, it was simply going to our portfolio workload and all of a sudden all the tasks were no longer appearing in the workloads.

Following up on this – appears it might have been resolved partially but I wanted to see if there is a status update on the resolution and if you were able to identify what caused it in the first place so we can put measures in place to make sure it doesn’t happen moving forward.

Hi everyone, thanks for your patience while we were working on solving this issue! Our Product Team has confirmed this issue is now solved. Let us know if you still can’t see subtasks in Workload and we will be happy to investigate further.

Have a nice weekend!
