Why is "Add Section" grayed out?

Whenever I try to add a section in a project, the menu option is grayed out. What causes this? How do I fix it?

This is probably a function of the sort you have in place. See here for more info:

Thanks for the additional info @Kaitlyn_Mahoney! This is happening because your project is sorted by due date. Simply click on the “Remove sort” (See screenshot below) and you should be able to create Sections again Hope this helps! [14]
