I have around 40 tasks in a project and the timeline won’t display.
What is the maximum number of tasks you can have on a timeline?

oh that is strange. That should not be a problem at all.
Just to confirm do all tasks have a due date assigned?
In case not you can find the unscheduled task in the timeline view when you click here on the top right
