Hi Asana & AI enthusiasts 
We lost access to our AI teammates for a few days. A small hiccup on our account configuration, nothing dramatic, and it is being sorted out.
BUT a few days later, I can tell you exactly what we lost. We had not realized how much of our daily work had quietly moved over to them! 
The three we missed the most
Clara is our knowledge base. Everything about Asana, plus everything we learned across our 700 deployments. When someone hesitates on how to structure an Asana environment, they ask Clara before they ask a human.
Coco is our sales expert. He works every opportunity with us, from drafting an RFP response to answering pre-sales questions.
Alex is our consulting assistant. And on a certain workflow, we give him one task and he delivers an entire list of tasks by himself: he runs the actions: consolidate information, finds the right consultant, compiles what we need… A full agentic workflow, living inside Asana.
Behind them, a dozen more. Casper ghostwrites our content in our tone of voice. Claudia writes the scripts behind our rules. Joe cleans up our data. Mario handles Italian…
as @Bastien_Siebman was recently mentioning, our notifications Inbox are now enhanced with messages from our AI colleagues
What the outage actually taught us
We pay for other AI tools (Claude / Gemini) and we leaned on them for certain use-cases. They are good. But they are also disconnected from our work.
AI Teammates really feel different
- Multiplayer, not singleplayer. A teammate is briefed by the whole team, and the whole team uses what it produces.
- The context is already there. Our teammates sit inside the projects. They know our team, our projects, our goals. With a chatbot you re-explain everything.
- Shared memory. Feedback given once are saved
- Governance and traces. Each teammate has an identity, scoped permissions and an audit trail. Months later you can still find what was delivered.
