I am missing a view for all tasks where I’m a collaborator on. I know that there is the custom report function which is a reasonably good solution.

**However, I’d find it much more intuitive if you could add a switch/filter to show tasks where you are a collaborator in “My Tasks”. Or in an additional view. This would improve visibility and place the tasks where I’d expect them to be.**

Some background info where this idea came from:
My colleagues and I naturally looked for a way to show tasks where one is a collaborator under “My Tasks”. It took some time for us to discover and use custom searches, but it helped us make a search for collaborative tasks. In the beginning I’ve used bookmarks to the custom search URLs to get to the searches quickly. I just discovered the report function by accident while looking through the forums. I think that reports reports should be more prominent in the onboarding process.

This is a much needed feature in our org. Sure, the user could set up a report but that’s clunky since we don’t have the option to filter “out” tasks I am assigned to (and with that automatically a collaborator). It would be so nice to see those in my tasks 🙂

Upvoting, this seems like a hugely essential feature. It is currently very difficult to sort through tasks which I am a collaborator vs assignee. Has this made any headway looks like requested a year ago?

+1 upvote. As original poster suggested the “My Tasks” section is where I might intuitively go to for filtering to see this view.
My use case is that sometimes I want to quickly view all the tasks I need to be aware of as a collaborator (but not assigned to) and see if I need to check-in with colleagues or remember what I might be pulled into.

+1 this is an essential feature for our team, kind of a dealbreaker for using Asana. We pair up and collaborate on a lot of tasks, and we’re having to resort to all sorts of clunky workarounds to manage this effectively.

Besides all the benefits of adding this feature to a professional setting; it would also work at a personal level.

My wife and I manage everything we have going in our lives using Asana. Most recently in focus are our newborns routine hospital appointments. This feature means I don’t have to create duplicate entries of the same task just for the sake of having it show up under “my tasks” - which also functions as our calendar basically.

+1 upvote. I manage all tasks, I’m involved in, via “My Tasks”. Not being able to add collaborative tasks here is a huge drawback.

I do not find the “my tasks” filter very useful because it omits anything that I have been tagged/mentioned on.

I would like an easy filter that shows the tasks I am assigned on AND tasks where I am listed as a collaborator.

Interesting idea. For Asana, those are not “your tasks”. However you can achieve the same result by creating a saved search.

The easiest fix would be to introduce another standard option that includes my tasks and anything I have been tagged in. That would present a much better view for team members to scan.

If I may add to this post:

We have discovered that Asana iOS app already contains my requested feature. The Inbox of the iOS app contains the a more advantaced ability to see your your work:

- tasks assigned to you
- tasks where you are @mentioned (your collaborations, as per my original description)
- tasks you assigned to others

 ![image](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/asana/original/3X/c/e/ce934d8444fbba0f2ba4adea15a8f717b8486959.jpeg)

On the website, the Inbox does not contain these features, instead only giving the options to show tasks assigned to you:

 ![image](https://us1.discourse-cdn.com/asana/original/3X/2/a/2a7fc969d59962cd49a5721570433317f177d4ae.jpeg)

For your consideration, I propose that the website be given feature parity (put the same, easy options in the Inbox).

When I open My Tasks, I would like to see items that I’m a collaborator on, in addition to the tasks that I am the Assignee for. I know we can save a search on the left side menu bar, but I build my day around MyTasks, and those often include tasks that I am a collaborator on. It would be great if that could at least be a simple toggle available at the top of My Tasks.

Thanks for the feedback @anon30208296! This isn’t something we’re planning to introduce right now, but we will certainly take it onboard for future updates! I’m not sure if you’re using [Home](https://asana.com/guide/help/fundamentals/homepage) at the moment, but I could see a “Tasks I’m collaborating on” widget 🙂

That would be a decent second alternative. Would rather it be in “My Tasks”, as that is where I focus my work.

I can see that I am a collaborator on 1 task currently but I cannot click on it or find it listed anywhere on my home page. Thoughts?
