View Count for Status Updates

Would like the ability to see how many people have viewed a Status Update, not just those who interacted with it.

Today, users can “like” an update, but there’s no way to tell if others have read it at all. For teams managing large portfolios or cross-functional updates, this leaves leaders guessing whether their messages are actually being seen. This would bring status updates closer to the kind of insight we expect from internal comms or newsletters.

Feature idea:
Display the total number of unique views on a Status Update ideally next to the :+1: icon, where it’s easy to spot. This count should reflect people who opened the update and viewed the title and description (not just those who scrolled past).

Why this matters:
Leaders want to track engagement beyond likes
Helps validate reach and communication effectiveness
Encourages thoughtful writing when there’s accountability for who’s seen it
