Sorry, I think I just need a litte more practise, but I’m not able to find a view which shows all tasks. I see the project specific ones in the project views and my assigned tasks in the “my tasks” view. But I really need an overview of all tasks to assign them and update.
Near the top of the left-hand panel, in the Favorites area, click either Show recent projects or it may say Show more. That should display an All items option to see all tasks.

Just to clarify, are you looking for a list of all unassigned tasks? If you have a premium subscription, you can do this through Advanced Search by putting ‘Nobody’ in the ASSIGNED TO field:
You can then save that report and click on it whenever you need the up-to-date list.
