I am trying to use categories for planning events. Is there a way to view all the items within a category only? Either to input all items in a category at once, review and check total budget? Thanks
Hi @Yukiko_Meadows — I’d recommend using Custom Fields (How to Create and Use Custom Fields in Asana | Product Guide • Asana Product Guide) if you’re on Asana Premium or Tags (How to Complete Task Fields in Asana | Product Guide • Asana Product Guide) if you’re on the free version of Asana.
Both options are useful for categorizing and color-coding tasks, though I think Custom Fields may bring more structure to an entire list of tasks rather than one-off task labels via Tags.
You can focus on just the tasks with a certain Field or Tag via Advanced Search (Using Search & Advanced Search in Asana | Product guide • Asana Product Guide).
