As everyone else here, this would save us a ton of time.
Is it somewhere on the roadmap?
I used the new feature of creating separate custom views in a project, but it would be helpful to make a custom view the default for some people and another view the default for others. It could be by permission level on the project or by selecting specific members to have one tab as their default. In our case, I would like to make more columns available for supervisors by default.
I have this as a feature now! When you make a change to the board filters, a save icon shows up in the upper right-hand corner and you can select “save as a new tab.” Then the saved view shows up as one of the options next to List, Board, Timeline, etc.
Really excited to show my team; hopefully this is a real rollout and not just an A/B test?

Today, I’m excited to announce we are rolling out a new dynamic “assigned to me” filter that automatically changes depending on the user who is viewing the project. This, combined with the ability to create new tabs , will allow you to easily keep track of all the tasks assigned to you without impacting other user’s view!
Although this launch only applies to assignees at the moment, we are planning to launch more dynamic filters in the future

How exactly will one look at complete and one at incomplete? First of all, complete and incomplete what? And second, it’s the exact same data, just shown differently. I prefer a list, my colleague prefers a board. We both see exactly the same data and we have absolutely no problem talking about work…

Did you, or anyone, find a solution to this?? It seems so counter intuitive to have to create a separate dashboard for each person on the team when a simple “Me” filter on Assignee with 1 dashboard would do the trick!
The new option for saved custom views has been great! Will there eventually be an option available to save as a default view for myself only? Or for other teammates on the project to save to which view they like? It’s a little limiting that there’s only the option right now to save the default view for everyone.

Is there a way to save a default view in a portfolio? For example, when I switch to a specific portfolio, I would like it to open to the workload view with the projects expanded inside it. Thank you.

Just adding my 2¢ because I’m so frustrated by this. The complaints have been rolling in for over three years, and asana seems to have not said a word about planning or not planning to implement this feature. Is it really that difficult? If so, just tell us so we can stop begging. Or give us a roadmap for the feature. Some sort of news would be nice. And the “assigned to me” feature is far from a user-level “save layout as default”. There are so many projects in my company that are worked on by multiple people, but I need to know what’s upcoming for me, before it’s assigned to me.
Bottom line: We all need to see the board the way we want to see it.

I hope the Asana team sees that this is still a VERY high-demand feature. My whole team asking and complaining about this and saying that other PM software like Click-up has this functionality. We want to have user-specific default view options please!
