Updated Slack App: Auto-add to channel

I’m using the Asana app in Slack. Previously, when I clicked “create a task” it would have me input the information and then, once I created the task, it would ask if I wanted to post to the channel. Now it automatically fills out the Slack Channel and posts it to the channel if I don’t clear it.

I do not need or want every single Asana ticket I create to be shared with people. Clearing out the Slack Channel every time is very frustrating and feels like wasted time.

I’d rather it:

• Default to no slack channel OR
• Give the user a choice:
  • Default to the Slack channel the ticket is created in
  • Ask if you want to add the ticket to the channel after you create it
  • Do nothing

One other thing: it also adds the “Section” field as a progressive field once you select the project. Either have it in there and greyed out until a project is selected, or don’t add it in there at all. Having it show up as a field after selecting the project is a painful user experience.
