Just like mentioned here, this isn’t working for me on Firefox. Undo completion of task not working
I mark a task complete, the popup comes up, I click undo, it says “undoing…” and then disappears without actually undoing it. The task does not reappear in my list, and when I reload the entire page, it remains clearly marked complete. Firefox 153
Hi @Billy_Tetrud, welcome to the community!
I’m sorry you’re experiencing this issue. Here are a few quick things you can try:
Quick workarounds:
- Press Z right after completing a task to undo it.
- Open the task from Completed recently and mark it as incomplete.
- Check your filters. If completed tasks are hidden, the undo may work but the task may not appear in your list.
Firefox troubleshooting:
- Make sure Firefox is updated.
- Try using a private window.
- Temporarily disable browser extensions (like ad blockers or privacy tools).
- Clear your cache/cookies for Asana and reload.
- Test in another browser to confirm if it’s Firefox-specific.
If it still fails, please contact Support so we can dig in with logs and your account details: Asana Help Center
Thank you!
- Pressing Z does not trigger any undo, it doesn’t trigger any discernable change at all, either in the popup or for the task. Ctrl Z also does nothing.
- Yes, searching for the task another way and marking it incomplete does work, but that’s not the feature I’m saying is broken.
- This is not my filters. I’m marking it complete in a list where it is showing up, so undoing should make it reappear. Regardless, the undo is not actually undoing regardless of its state of being in the list because when I find it after undoing, it is still marked complete.
Firefox is on the latest version. I mentioned that I’m using Firefox 153, which had you checked, you would have found is the latest version.
I don’t think you’re being very helpful here. You’re not actually understanding the issue, you’re just giving generic suggestions. I don’t appreciate that. Its a waste of my time. Others have mentioned this issue, this is not just a me thing.
Test in another browser to confirm if it’s Firefox-specific.
How about someone at Asana test in Firefox to see if its a Firefox-specific thing. Asana has employees, they should use them to fix their application - especially when its had this obvious bug for over a year.
How can we file a bug for the development team? This is a pretty basic feature and its very easy to accidentally mark the wrong thing completed. I tried in both Chrome and Firefox and the undo button doesn’t work on either browser.
