I use a starred tag view that I want to only show incomplete tasks. Not sure what I’m doing wrong or failing to do, but when I set the “All tasks” filter on the view to “Incomplete tasks” it doesn’t save the preference. I’ve tried un-starring and re-starring with the filter set to incomplete but it always reverts back to “All tasks” when I leave the tag view. I have other starred tags that show only incomplete tasks so I know it’s possible but I can’t remember how I made the task filter stick.
@Eric_Csongradi - strangely, mine always defaults to Incomplete tasks.
But, regardless, you can use a “Saved Search” to do exactly what you are wanting.
- Click on Search, then the Advanced Search button (might be a toggle in your account)
- On the Completion filter, choose “Incomplete”
- Click on “Add filter” at the bottom left and select “Tags > Has Tags”. And add the tag you are trying to track. Then click Search.
- From that screen, choose any sorting preferences, then click the star at the top left, and name your search
Voilà! You now have a saved search WITH your preferred filter criteria.
