I’m currently very disappointed in Asana and I have no way to reach support (help.asana.com redirects to Salesforce with this error “We can’t log you in because of an authentication error.”)).
Time tracking API has been down the whole weekend (endpoint always returns 200 - OK → with empty data), even when there are entries.
Yesterday it worked for couple of hours, but now it stopped working again.
I’m receiving both errors as well. Time tracking API returning empty list and Asana support down due to Salesforce error. The API is a critical component of our billing system and Asana’s time tracking features are expensive enough to not be down for such a long time.
Hi @MAPIUser and @RVH, sorry for the trouble! I’ve moved this thread to our API category.
Some users are currently encountering authentication issues with our Help Center, and our team is working on a fix. If you need to contact our Support team, please try the following steps:
We’re currently experiencing significant delays due to the API downtime and are eagerly waiting for it to be resolved. Could you please provide an estimate on how much longer it will take for the API to be back up and running?
Hi all, thank you for the reports. Our engineering team has identified that a previous bug (since fixed) left some time tracking data in a state that can cause it to not show up in API results. We’re actively working on restoring this data to be accessible via the API, and the current estimate is that it should be resolved within a day. Apologies for the inconvenience caused, we’ll let you know as things develop.
This response is becoming a joke honestly. For months I’ve been encountering the same Sakesforce issue and as far as I can see it affects a lot of users. The form is useless as the support team chooses not to respond. Had major issues the past months with no way of reaching support, ever. What a shame.
Quick update: the data should now be correct for all but the couple workspaces which are actively going through a domain data migration. Please leave a note here if you’re still seeing the time tracking API requests unexpectedly come back with empty data so we can investigate further. Thank you for your patience!
Thanks for the feedback, and sorry to hear that you are still seeing the issue. While we’ve seen cases in testing of the expected data starting to show up, it’s clear there’s something more at play and our engineering team is digging back in to what that might be so we can get this fully addressed ASAP.
Would this same issue affect my time tracking dashboard? It is not updating as expected and i can’t report out accurately on actual time…any fix for this?
