Hi Asana community - I need some help.
We are trying to use the time recording in Asana to support with revenue recognition and project budget management.
We have been able to create the donut widgets for actual and estimated time, filtering as needed however we have to create a number of widgets by project and the numbers often don’t add up. We have a custom field to tag whether the task is billable or not. I cannot find a way to export the data (we use subtasks) in Excel or PowerBi.
We also need to be able evidence the numbers for finance reporting and year end audit.
How are other people using Asana time tracking for revenue recognition or customer billing?
Thank you in advance!
If you want to make specific product feedback, you should split and create one post per feedback in the product feedback category.
Based on what I’m seeing, you have been testing the new timesheet and budget add-on?
Hi there - I would like to understand what others are using to support revenue recognition and financial reporting so that I can look at a solution for our current challenges. I’ve already shared my feedback with Asana.
What is the new timesheet and budget add on? thank you
It hasn’t been revealed just yet to the general public. It allows you to see timesheets of users, track hourly rates, and store budgets for projects.
Hi @Jenni_Dickson one option is the Analytics & Reports add-on by Screenful. It helps track future revenues based on set start and end dates, billable work, and time logged to the Actual time field. The reports can be automatically scheduled via email or Slack.
