Task templates are included in project dashboards (but shouldn't be)

Briefly describe (1-2 sentences) the Bug you’re experiencing:
For some reason, task templates are showing up in project dashboards, which skews our numbers. This is especially problematic as we track hours on tasks.

Steps to reproduce:
Create a task. Convert it to a template. Go to the project dashboard. The task template is included in stats.

Browser version: Chrome

@Joe_Moran,

I don’t believe this is a bug. What you’re seeing in the Dashboard being counted is the closed task you converted to a template. If you don’t want to see those reflected in your stats, just delete those tasks.

Those tasks being counted are not the task templates themselves so deleting them won’t affect the use of the task template, which remains in your Customize menu and in your Add New > Task Template menu button.

In case you weren’t aware, you can also create task templates without converting such tasks; directly create a task template in the Customize menu to avoid this problem as well. (Though sometimes it’s more efficient to create the task template by converting a task as you’ve done, in which case you’d need to delete it to remove it as a regular (closed) task as mentioned.

Hope that make sense,

Larry
