Subtasks duplicate randomly

I’m confused about what should happen when I have Tasks with Subtasks that repeat.

We have “Month-end Accounting” checklist of tasks with subtasks. All are set to repeat a month later on the same day. Also, some depend on others being finished first.

I haven’t figure out when and why but when I mark a subtask as finished it show up again with the same due day (not a month later). Plus, sometimes get that copy plus a copy a month later.

What am I doing wrong?

I’m not sure if any of this is still true. Maybe I should not use subtasks and only use “Depends on”.

Any ideas?

Also, the duplicated tasks don’t seem to be exactly the same.

Some have a blue dot and others have a grey square.

Hi @Bob_McNeel. Yep SubTasks and repeating doesn’t work very well… Have already here a few suggestions of resolution and problems… Expense Reimbursement Reoccurring Task

If you still have queries send me a note and I will happily run through some of the ways I have solved this.
