Since then, I did not get any contact from asana support to activate my student account.

I recommend checking your spam folder. In case no email can be found then I suggest reaching out to support@asana.com and they will be able to assist.

How long for them to solve this issue?
It depends on their workload and also tickets from existing users with a paid plan are normally prioritized.
