Wouldn’t it be better if you could see your own posted status update in the Status Update widget and receive an email notification about it, just like the rest of your project team? ![]()
Welcome, @Jefferson_Palogan,
FWIW, Asana suppresses notifications for things you yourself did, because they might be considered noise more than signal to many folks, so I think that’s their thinking here.
When you say “Status Update widget,” what exactly are you referring to? Normally, I would expect one’s own status update to appear publicly along with others.
Don’t forget to click the title to scroll to the top and vote by clicking the Vote button at the top-left; that’s the quickest and most effective way to express your support for a request.
Thanks,
Larry
Hi Larry,
Good day!
This is the status update I was referring to. Currently, I can only see the status updates that have been shared with me in this widget. I was hoping there might be a way for me to see my own posted status updates there as well.
Additionally, it would be great if I could receive email notifications for status updates that I personally post, just as I do for updates shared by others.
Thank you!
Thanks for clarifying, @Jefferson_Palogan. Your best bet is to vote here, and perhaps others will too.
Since Asana has routinely never shown notifications for self-generated actions, they might not want to reverse that, but you never know!
Thanks,
Larry
