Status Reporting Templates: Project Admin can add but not remove templates when not the owner

Essentially as the title, and I’m assuming this is just a bug/oversight in how permissions are designed for the reporting template feature.

Issue:

For projects where I am set up as Owner+Project Admin permissions, I can add status reporting templates from the template library, including ones where I don’t have Admin/Editor permissions on that template. This is fine.

However, once added to the project (e.g by accident or because people have named things similarly), these same templates cannot be removed from the project (but I can remove those templates I have admin permissions on).

I have the same issue. I suspect it’s because the template I can’t remove has a title that is too long, but I’m not sure. I get an overflow menu for my own added template, but not for ones that I added that were created and owned by someone else.

The name of the template I am trying to remove here is only about 6 characters long, so I don’t think that’s the core issue. My assumption is that this is just caused by removal permissions being based on whether you own the template rather than the project it is applied to.

Thanks for the perspective. Yea, this seems like a bug that needs to be fixed. You shouldn’t be able to add UI elements you can’t remove.

FWIW, my IT admins also can’t change this, which seems like an additional oversight.
