Hi,
I suggest you join the voices on Sort and filter project by multiple fields (Due date and assignee for example) because I think your request falls onto the multiple sort.
Hi,
I suggest you join the voices on Sort and filter project by multiple fields (Due date and assignee for example) because I think your request falls onto the multiple sort.
Adding my vote/voice in favor of this. We have several different stages of progress that we use the Status column for - Not yet started, in progress, under review, approved and in production, produced and ready for launch, & launched.
I would often like to be able to use the filter to, for instance, show me only tasks that are not yet started, in progress, under review, or in production, but hide everything that is produced and launched. We donāt like to move completed tasks to a new section because we use sections to group similar work products - for instance a section for all the landing pages associated with a campaign, one for advertising assets, one for emails, one where reference materials and reports are posted, etc.
For the purpose of increasing visibility of where things stand to everyone on the team who isnāt involved in creating a given work product, we want those folks to be able to find all landing pages, or see at a glance all emails that have been or will be sent during the campaign, all in one section. But for the purpose of streamlining task management for the people actually working on the products, it would be nice to have a simple toggle that could get rid of the visual clutter of all the work thatās already been completed.
Need this too thanks
It would be really neat to have this feature
@Asana, whatās the status on this feature? We have a lot of team members that would benefit from being able to prioritize by sorting due date and then priority to narrow in on their tasks for the day. Any update would be appreciated!
Agree. Pls make this feature work.
Chiming in here āis this feature on the roadmap at all? Is there any sort of timeline for getting this off the ground? Looking through this thread, I havenāt seen any update from Asana in nearly a year and users have been requesting this feature for more than 4 years at this point.
Multiple sorts/filters would allow users to make projects and My Tasks much more organized, and is something that many of us agree is critical to an effective task management tool. Asana, please let us know if this will be happening anytime soon!
Please allow us to sort on more than one Field.
Same, this is the key feature that is preventing me from switching all my work from Notion (unlimited custom field sorting allowed).
Asana!! Is there a public roadmap that we can see where this falls on?
Agreed, unless Asana invests in better daily task automation themselves, this needs to be done. I have tons of tasks due every day, but need to spend my time in the right places and schedule myself accordingly. Thanks to Novemberās update, My Tasks should be adding custom fields, which helps alot. The next step is to allow sort by (A) THEN sort by (B), etc. Hereās my daily use case:
Tag each task with a priority
Tag each task with time estimate (either estimate or to time-box myself)
Compare to calendar to see how much time I actually have in my day for these tasks
Take up as many tasks that fit into my calendar work time (compared to time estimate box)
Assign due dates
Sort by priority to for proper order
Now I can actually start my day an execute.
Is there a workaround? Single-column sort is REALLY LIMITING!!! Asana please fix!!!
Each month, our department must complete hundreds of tasks. Itād be great to be able to add Urgency and Importance scores and sort by both columns.
Is there a workaround to that?
How about a multi-column sorting timeline?
Is there any movement on this request?
Any update on this request?
Would be great to be able to sort by two column headings in one project. Billed Yes/No and Also sorted by client. We have 50+ clients, and creating a separate heading for each one is not a good use of time. Any update?
+1 to this feature. I have created a Saved Search that displays tasks due upcoming for my direct reports. I have the list Sorted by Assignee, but would like a secondary sort to view each assigneeās tasks by date. Right now itās just jumbled tasks at random, making it hard to assess priorities/whatās due today.
Thank you so much for discovering this new feature!
We recently started to roll out multi-sort, multi-filter, and reverse sort on list and board view Please check this post for more details.
Will this option be available on Saved Searches as well? Would be fantastic to see portfolios sorted by assignee and due date.
