As you have mentioned, recurring tasks only appear on your Calendar for the next time the task is due and not every single time the recurring task is due in the future. You can learn more in the following Guide article: How to Complete Task Fields in Asana | Product Guide • Asana Product Guide.
This is a popular topic in the Forum and there is an existing thread requesting this functionality. If you haven’t yet, I would recommend you to cast your vote here: Visibility of all Recurring tasks.
