Seeing what count of tasks which were completed, or are overdue is helpful. However particularly as there is increased use cases for Asana to be a Workflow / ticket management tool, there nneds to be more focus on visibility to the inbound requests as well.
Old: commonly determine project scope up front, and chip away.
New: Increase of persistent projects with steady inbound demands. Equally important to monitor this, watch for bottlenecks.
Do you mean you want the app to show you what new tasks have come through into a particular project?
On the app, you can see what is overdue - but I was not sure if you already knew that or if it was part of the feedback.
And don’t forget to upvote your feedback as well 
I’d like this widget to either have 4 spaces, to include “New” this week, or options to choose New over Due, for example.
I’m interested in a quick snapshot of how many new requests this project is seeing, compared to how many are being closed.
