Setting Rule to Add Collaborators to Subtask

I know how to set a rule to add collaborators to tasks, is there a wya to set a rule so that collaborators are added to subtasks? Thank you!

Welcome to the Forum @Wesley_Gross and thank you for reaching out!

As it stands Project’s rules only applies to tasks nested directly in the Project. As subtasks don’t automatically inherit the Project from the parent task, you would need to manually add the subtask to the Project to trigger the rule.

You can add the subtask to the Project by going into the subtask details (How to Use Asana subtasks | Product guide • Asana Product Guide) and using “Tab+P” to open the project field or by going to the upper right drop-down and selecting “Add to Project.”

I hope this helps Wesley but please let me know if you have any follow-up question!

P.S.: There is a request regarding this topic in the #productfeedback category: Allow Rules for Subtasks. In case you haven’t yet, I would suggest you to upvote it!
