Section Duration Totals in Gantt View

In Gantt view, all Tasks (& SubTasks) are displayed with Date Range and Duration fields under the Sections they were placed under in the Project. However, there is no Duration total displayed at the Section level. Is there a way to get the Section to show the total Duration of all Tasks within? Tasks automatically show the Duration total of all SubTasks within. Is there a way for Sections to treat Tasks within the Section the same way? Wouldn’t most users want to see that? Thanks for any help or workarounds.

I’ve moved this topic to where you can click the title to scroll to the top and vote by clicking the purple Vote button.

Until/if this is addressed, you could do a workaround to see this info in List view if you like:

Add a formula custom field that’s Due date minus Start date and show it as a column in List view. You’ll automatically see a Sum row at the bottom of sections/groups like you requested, albeit you’ll have to toggle to another view when you want to see that.

Thanks, for both. If I understand the workaround correctly, the Custom Field would show the desired Duration Total per Section, BUT… it would not be visible in Gantt view, instead the user would have to refer to List view to see that. Am I understanding all of that correctly?
