Searching then clicking on task opens the task directly

When searching for a task in the search bar, I could click on the task but still see the project board it was assigned to. For the last two days, when I click on that task, it opens the task directly, I have to click on the project to see that board completely.

I want to see the whole project and what section that task falls in NOT the task only (like it’s been since we’ve started using asana). What changed?

I post this problem, and just like that, the problem stops

I spoke too soon…

Hi! this is not actually solved, it happens sporadically, could it be a setting for a particular project?

I posted this topic that was marked as solved, but it isn’t.

When searching for a task in the search bar, I could click on the task but still see the project board it was assigned to. This week, when I click on that task, it opens the task directly, I have to click on the project to see that board completely.

This is not just my computer, I verified yesterday that it’s happening with other staff members.

I want to see the whole project and what section that task falls in NOT the task only (like it’s been since we’ve started using asana). This is very annoying and affecting our producitvity. What changed? Please fix it.

Hi @Suzanne_Rallis,

I removed the “solved” state here, then merged your newer post into this original thread, so there is just one thread on it, left unresolved.

Hi, @Suzanne_Rallis

I’m in a similar situation. It started happening recently.

I wonder if it’s a bug or a change in specifications?

This may be a similar feedback.

Hi @Suzanne_Rallis, I apologize for the frustration the recent changes have caused. I reviewed this behavior and can confirm that it is working as intended.

I know it can be challenging when a familiar workflow changes, especially after using Asana for a long time. If you’d like to see this functionality reconsidered, I encourage you to vote on the feature request here. The more feedback the product team receives, the better they can understand the impact on customers.

Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback, and please let us know if we can help with anything else. :slightly_smiling_face:
