I have created an A.I. rule for one of my tasks. I am trying to have the rule check if the due date is “today”. Then I am trying to have the A.I. comment on the task that is due and notify the assignee. When i click publish, it says added, but is not actually there.
I have used this format already to notify my team when a task is moved to their section in our project, but now it is not working. The ones that work have the condition “When task is moved to (section) and the one that isn’t working starts with “If due date is approaching”.
@Ronald_Hill1 - welcome to the forum! Could you post a screenshot of your rule? Also, unless the rule is doing more than you described, that’s not something you need AI to do (i.e., all that is supported in vanilla rules) and you could save yourself some credits by refactoring the rule to just use the native functionality.
In addition to what @Stephen_Li said about not needing AI to accomplish this, it is my understanding that Asana batches due date-based rules and they only trigger at midnight instead of them continuously running in the background.
Absolutely. At the top right of your project, you will see a button that says “customize.” This is where you can find your workflow enhancement features like rules, custom fields, task templates, etc.
Oh I figured it out! it’s not displaying because it was not attached to the project section within the rule. I have fixed it now. Thank you for your help everyone!
