Rule triggers based on "field created" rather than "field updated"

I am using Asana to build a Sales CRM board.
I’m using forms for intaking and automating the inquiry based on a custom field.

What I would like:

  • Create a form that asks for the client’s budget (as a custom field)
  • The client selects the budget and submits the form
  • A task is created AND if the budget is more than $50k, change the priority to “high”

Is this possible?

Currently, I have to update the “priority” manually because it can only be triggered if the custom attribute is UPDATED instead of CREATED.

This is currently not possible to achieve using rules but it is definitely something to consider for future improvements! I would also recommend you to have a look at Flowsana. You might be able to achieve it using the integration.
