I am trying to build a rule that when a new task is added to my tasks and the item contains the word “send” or “schedule” the estimated time field is set at 15 minutes. When contains “review” or “draft” or “create” or “Zoom” 1 hr, When contains “email or respond” 30 mins. This would be revolutionary to my non-profit workflow. Any suggestions? Currently even the AI custom rule builder will not allow check if to be words contained in a task.
Sam, I’ve moved your post to a new topic since it wasn’t related to the one where you posted.
Perhaps Flowsana.net (@Phil_Seeman) can help here.
Thanks,
Larry
Thank you!
Hi @Sam_Gould,
You didn’t mention what type of field “Estimated time” is, but in general you should be able to accomplish this with the rules in our Flowsana integration; for example:
You would create 3 rules, one for each desired value of “Estimated time”.
Wow this is a wonderful tool. One more question. How do I tell it to only apply to my tasks? I do not want to pay for my whole team if I am only modifying my tasks.
Also, my estimated time appears to be a custom field and it is not activating the trigger. Am I missing something? How are you getting Assigned Time on your pull down menu?
Glad you’re liking it, @Sam_Gould.
We like to try and keep this forum for Asana support and for anything more than a quick answer, focus on our support system for Flowsana help. So if you don’t mind sending your 2 questions to us (feel free to reference this forum thread), we can definitely get you answers - thanks!
