I’ve moved your post out of bugs (because, for better or worse, Asana would not classify it as such) and to a place where we can vote for it (I did), so I encourage you to scroll to the top and vote with he purple button.
Asana ships new features (roll-ups are a new feature) with partial support, often. It’s nice to get access as early as possible, but maddening to have to keep track of all the gotchas this causes, as you’ve discovered. I wish Asana would recognize many of us now will encounter unexpected and sometimes frustrating behavior like your example here. But semantically, Asana considers bugs to be code malfunctioning; here, there’s no code (or intent) to export roll-ups, so no bug, just a missing feature!
The rollup is not seen as a field per say, so you can’t export it, it doesn’t show in the project detail view, you can’t search on it… Hopefully this get resolved.
