Remove old files from recurring tasks

I would also like this feature! With recurring tasks, I like that the description field is evergreen, but the comments are not. It would be great if files dragged to the description stayed with each recurring task, but those dragged to a comment only stayed with the completed task, as a backup record if needed.

Ooh - or even better, it could be like when I change a recurring calendar hold. A pop-up could come up forcing a selection “Edit recurring task: 1. This task 2. This and following tasks 3. All tasks”

Any updates here? In the meantime, still manually deleting the attachments

I would like to strongly request this feature as well: I am a graphic designer with a recurring monthly task to create a social media carousel of upcoming events for our organization. For all of my projects, I add graphics as attachments for review and for sharing with my colleagues who will post them. After I complete the task for the month, it duplicates for the next month and includes all of the attachments for the prior month’s iteration of the task, which typically is at least ten or more graphics. (Or it’s double or triple that if we want through multiple iterations of the graphics)

Deleting the tasks is incredibly tedious and disrupts my workflow. Please change this so we can adjust the settings of our recurring tasks to exclude attachments when it replicates.

I would like this feature as well. Each task requires a new image upload taken from the asana app that is attached to the tasks. At the end of the week we have no other option but to manually delete.

Please add an option where attachments are not copy forwarded on recurring tasks.

Currently, when you set a task to recur, it recreates a new task with all the different attachments.

It is not ideal to have all the previous attachments as there can be multiple attachments to newly create tasks.

Hi @Rosalle ,
