I’m loving the Forms widget on the Home screen, but it shows every form I’ve visited. While this is generally a great thing, I’d also like the ability to remove a form from appearing here. Or show only starred forms.
My main use case for this is that we have some similar forms as well as deleted/deactivated forms.
- Similar forms: I maintain two forms for intake. One is used internally in my department and the other is shared externally, beyond the department (with folks who do not have Asana access but still want to request things). Naturally, they are similarly named. My team sometimes accidentally uses the external form because it’s the most recent form in their Forms widget, often because they’ve had to share the external form with someone recently. It’s not a huge deal but there are custom fields and other questions in the internal version that get missed this way. Ideally, they’d pay a little closer attention to which form they’re clicking on from the widget but that’s not always realistic. Some will never need to use/share the external form and I’d like for them to be able to remove it from view.
- Deactivated/deleted forms: Someone left the organization leaving behind a project with a form. We’ve reclaimed the project and deactivated the form, but it still shows up in the Forms widget. It also still shows up in search results for forms. It can’t be used because it’s deactivated, but it shouldn’t be available at all.
I would love the ability to remove forms individually from the Forms widget and prevent old forms from being accessed at all. These would be minor but much appreciated user experience improvements for our team! If anyone has any workarounds I’m all eyes.
