Hey there,
I am using project templates a lot for recurring projects/campaigns, but I find that I cannot reference the parent project template’s own sections in its task templates*.* Basically, I have to set up all the task templates after the projects are created from the template, making it a lot less useful - especially if there’s tens of task templates. It also makes governance more tedious, as I have to update everything and cannot rely on my colleagues to just pull a project from a template and voila it works.
A simple example:
When using the task template “Ad hoc”, tasks should land in the section “Ad hoc tasks”. When designing my project template, I cannot by default reference the project template’s own section “Ad hoc tasks”. I can reference any other project/section in the system, which is not useful for this purpose. It should reference the section in the project being created.
I know that I could use workarounds with rules etc, but this seems like a pretty obvious and simple feature. Am I doing something wrong or does this just not exist?
Hope ya’ll can help ![]()
