I’m wondering if it is possible to create a field in my portfolio that automatically keeps track of what tasks each project within the portfolio is on? Our projects are all identical and it would be great to see at a glance what task each individual project is on. Thanks!

One approach, perhaps the simplest, is to use Milestones, with due dates, distributed throughout your project to denote progress points and mark them complete as they’re done. Then modify the portfolio to show the Milestone progress column.
