Project showing in two teams

This weird thing has been happening where:

  • someone creates a project that defaults to our AllStaff team
  • i move the project to the more appropriate team
  • the project then displays in both teams

I haven’t seen this before this year, I thought it would go away but it hasn’t. It doesn’t matter which team I open the project from, it’ll say the team I moved it to in the details.

any help is appreciated

Could you check the sharing options? If the project is shared with another team, it also shows up in the other team.

The project shows up in two places:

  1. The team the project is created in. (under Edit project details)

  1. The team(s) the project is shared with under Share (like @Herve_Buisset indicates)

This latter determines for who the project is visible.

The default Team new projects get added to is the topmost team under Teams in the sidebar of the user creating the project.

omg @Herve_Buisset & @Jan-Rienk , thank you both. I didn’t even think about that but I guess because it started in the one team it kept the sharing there.

Might this pertain to the connection of this choice?

By selecting this option, it will be displayed solely to the destination team.

By selecting this option, it will be displayed to both the original team and the destination team.

(Sorry if I’m wrong)

I have conducted further verification.
The provisional project (MultiTeam-test) resides within the AsanaTest1 team.

Upon examining the share settings, it is evident that it is being shared among four teams.

It is also displayed within the AsanaTest3 team.
