Project gets renamed when minimizing task window

Every once in a while a newly created task will constantly rename itself to one of my teammates emails. I have a video as proof: ● tdvorak@triad-inc.com - Hyperlogistics Email Signature - Asana

Nobody at my office is doing this. I am able to reproduce with the following steps:

  1. Identify a project that constantly renames itself to a teammate’s email address.
  2. Change the project name in the kanban board view.
  3. click to make a new task
  4. minimize task
  5. observe the name change back to teammate’s email address.

Every time this issue occurs, it’s that same teammate’s email that replaces the project name. This happens probably about once every month and it very annoying. It makes the project useless to try and search for it. My account currently is able to see 9 projects all with this person’s email listed as the project name

FYI I moved this to English Forum > Ask the Community as this sounds like a bug and that’s where bug reports initially go, until they’re researched and then forum moderators will move it accordingly.

I think your best bet is: Try these troubleshooting steps, then please create a support ticket: see How to contact our Support Team.

Any chance you’re using the web browser version and use extensions? I’d start with that in troubleshooting steps.
