Since we cannot auto generate a short Reference ID for tasks (the url is not user friendly), I am manually creating a 4 digit unique reference ID for tasks. These Tasks are for 1 team but across several projects. I am currently doing this manually.
I would like to be able to create a rule on custom fields that are Numbers, “no duplicates allowed” that way I don’t create duplicate Reference ID’s.
(Of course this would not be needed if auto-creating a short reference ID was available)

Sadly no, no public roadmap. Member of Asana Together get some information in advance, a couple of days at most.
Has there been any movement on this? could really do with this feature right now aha
