Until recently when we uploaded photos to a task using the mobile app, the file name created a time and date stamp (the file name was the time and date stamp). Within the last few weeks this stopped and the file names are just long number strings.

Asana might have released an update that changed how the mobile app processes and names uploaded files.
You can cater to this by updating a date and time field to get the time and date stamp required in your process. This might not be the most optimal solution but you can try this.
