On hold to stop overdue tasks

When you set a project to ‘on hold’ can the system ignore the dates to stop tasks being flagged as overdue?

I want to keep all the dates in the project to keep the general structure and I don’t know when the project will restart so I can’t adjust them now.

@Mark_P The only option I can think of is to move all tasks so far into the future that they won’t go overdue.

Easiest way to do this would be to:

  • go to timeline view
  • zoom out far enough that you can see all tasks
  • select all tasks by dragging a selection rectangle
  • drag all tasks forward

Try and move it to the same day of the week though, as otherwise tasks may end up planned on non working days.

Doing this with dependency management options (Timeline > Options > Manage dependencies) is also an option, but this would require all the tasks to be connected with dependencies.
