The new rule builder has improved and expanded functionality (and may have complicated it for Asana newbies
), but it has greatly increased the number of clicks per step. What previously took 1 click now takes 3-4 clicks per step. Might seem like a minimal difference, but when you are building 10+ rules per project with multiple conditions / branches per rule, those clicks start to add up.
It would be great if triggers, paths, and actions defaulted to Asana (still with the option to select other Apps in each), rather than having to select Asana for every step. This would decrease rule-building clicks close to its original state. Assuming the major ratio of automations are focused only in Asana vs. including other apps, this would benefit the primary use case of rules, and decrease time spent for the larger user base.
Maybe a future future state, users could pre-select rule type by system (i.e. Asana-only, Asana → single app connection, Asana → multiple app connection) - similar to Make or Zapier.
