I was wondering if there is currently a way in Asana to configure multiple Description-style text fields within a task, like below:
At the moment, tasks only seem to allow one main Description box (see image). However, for some workflows it would be very useful to split this into structured sections.
While custom fields exist, they don’t behave quite the same as the main description field (for example, the larger text area, formatting options, and overall readability when reviewing tasks).
Ideally, this would allow teams to structure task information more clearly rather than placing everything in one long description. For example, having separate fields such as:
- Description
- User Story / Restated Question
- Development Notes
- Acceptance Criteria
- Solution / Resolution
This would make tasks easier to read, review, and maintain - particularly for workflows involving service requests, implementation work, or development-style tasks.
Is there currently a way to achieve something like this in Asana, or would this require a feature request?
