Multi-select options branching to same question

There really should be a way to select multiple options from a multi-select question that trigger the same question. For example, you have a multi-select question with 5 options that can be selected, but only two of them (answer A and answer B) trigger a particular question (question X). We do not have the ability to set it up so that question X is triggered when either answer A or answer B is selected. You have to individually branch them out. Which means if both answer A and B are selected, question X appears twice. Yes, the fields can be mapped into a single one, but it’s still inefficient to ask the same question multiple times. My team has been on Asana for a month and we have already run into this issue.

Hi Meghan,

Sorry you are experiencing an issue here, I wonder if there is some sort of workaround via restructuring the questions, or an extra conditional question to distinguish between A and B?

Is this within an intake form setup?

Whether you could combine A and B in the first question and have a conditional question to specify if its A&B or A or B - to enable the correct question trigger?

It would be an additional question, but it would ensure the correct question is triggered.

If you could share more detail, I can try to help find a workaround.

Question 1

  • Category requiring details (A/B)
  • C
  • D
  • E

Then ask:
“Which of the following applies?”

  • A
  • B

Identifies correct question between A/B, A or B
