It would be nice to have the “refine search” button move up so that it sits to the left of the search bar on desktop.
I always forget that clicking on the search bar will start a new search because the refine search button isn’t as obvious. I’ve also had to relay this to our team.
Would be more intuitive if it was right next to the search bar.

While we don’t have any plans to implement this change right now, hopefully it’s something our Product team can work on in the future.

It’s counter-intuitive that we can’t edit the advanced search near the search field.
Another issue with “Refine search” being on the right side in that row is that the button is hidden when I open one of the tasks from the search.
After doing a search, re-editing the search is one of the most frequent things I want to do next. It feels like a too big extra step needing to click somewhere on the left side of the header or pressing Esc key just to access “Refine search”.
I’d like to have the “Refine search” button in one of the red positions in the screenshot:
