How do I map custom fields from a project to a portfolio so that when I add the project to the portfolio the fields are populated with the data from the project? Thanks!

I am a bit confused by your question. There are custom fields at the task level (in list view for example) as well as fields at the project level, that you can add by adding the project to a portfolio and then adding fields to the portfolio.
I am confused by the “populated” part. Are you asking that the portfolio level fields somehow get the sum of the fields at the task level?

I think I’m a bit confused too. I’m trying different options to develop a workflow but nothing seems quite right. I appreciate your response but I’ll delete the question.
