As you’ve noticed, we’ve recently modified how Sections are created in Asana. you can learn more about this and in the following post: Adding/Copying Sections - Feature Request or a Bug? - #2 by Marie. I would also recommend taking a look at this third party extension that allows you to continue using he semi-colon shortcut
