Make Task templates available to other projects (Task templates library)

maybe clearer for how it worked for me:

  1. Create task template in project A
  2. Add project B to the template’s projects
  3. In Project B, ‘duplicate task’ on the template
  4. In project B, remove project B from original template
  5. In project B, remove project A from the duplicated task (seems the duplication makes the template a task now)

It amazes me that this thread has been in existence since early 2021 and still no easy solution has been implemented How does a company stay in business this long and simply ignore / not address a very common issue/need for years? If there’s been a fix that I’m not aware of, someone please let me know. We only implemented Asana a year ago and I’ve been trying to streamline our processes. This is a MAJOR hindrance to that effort.

BRUTAL. How hard is it to simply allow your clients to copy and paste a standard template to allow for similar projects to be run in a streamlined manner? Fix this already. This has been a request for three and a half years!!!

TASK TEMPLATES in asana should work like PRODUCT LIST in an erp software.
When we invoice a CUP OF COFFEE for CUSTOMER A, all it s feild values like mrp, product name etc, are set once for all to be used for other NEW CUSTOMERS and hence it becomes a template.
But, as per asana s faulty design currently, we need to create a NEW PRODUCT named CUP OF COFFEE 1, 2, 3 every time a NEW CUSTOMER comes in and on top of it all, it needs to be duplicated and added to new project and to make matters worst, the values like MRP and PRODUCT NAME needs to be entered over and over again, resulting in a shutdown of the CAFE…
In short, allow us use TASK TEMPLATES universally in all projects. Y is this difficult mess been created.

Removed my vote as I found I can do this effectively using the Bundling feature.

This is… Kinda odd. Has there been any response from Asana besides “Go Enterprise” . So the only way is to upgrade to Enterprise?

Hi @David_Bartle , welcome to the forum :waving_hand:
Understandably, like other SaaS products, Asana will make some features like Bundles exclusive to their most comprehensive Enterprise tiers. However you may find that Enterprise is not a lot more expensive than Advanced/Business, as most people think. DM me for details.

@Forum-team , I would suggest moving this thread to Product Feedback > Features Launched since this request has been addressed for a while now with the Bundles feature.
