We love Asana, but are now considering switching as we’re increasingly using Slack and the Asana integration with Slack is quite annoying. You can link Asana to a project, but it’s really spammy. We’ve tried using it, but it annoyed everyone so much that we had to turn it off. The Slack bot will spam for all sorts of minor actions taken on an Asana and each message will be a “smart action”, meaning that it’ll take up a lot of space in the channel.
What we really need is for the Slack bot to once a day describe the completed tasks in the channel such as:
- <name 1> completed , and in .
- <name 2> completed in .
and so on.
Alternatively, there should just be an option to turn off “smart actions” so the message simply becomes the one line " completed in ", where and are links to Asana. This would help a lot as we never use the “smart actions” and all the additional info is just clutter.
