Please mark this question as solved. I recreated on the left side panel the Teams, and that took the logic and groups the projects in the same way as the left had side panel. In other words, the Teams I had on the left hand side had some sort of bug preventing the logic. All solved.

Joe - I noticed. “My Tasks” is a great feature. Top down, the list is inherently sorted by due date, if there is a due date. But within the “Later” section there is chaos, random sorting.
This seemed so counter-intuitive I figured I did something wrong. But nope. Seems to be either a bug or de-facto feature.
I’m going to try your solution of recreating Teams (though I only have one Team, me) and see what happens.

I would prefer the “Later” section sorted the same as “Today” and “Upcoming” … any updates on this?
