Issues contacting the Support Team

Thing is: I can’t contact Asana Support. The Help Center doesn’t work for me cause either the Salesforce-sign-in error occurs or the chat bot crashes. And this temporary form apparently is deprecated now.

Any news about the broken Help Center or the chat bot problem, @Emily_Roman ?

@Forum-team, Can you please get us a current update about the status of the various ongoing Support issues, and also use it to update your How to contact our Support Team post to make it accurate?

Hello There,

I was a part of someone else’s asana with my current email.

They deleted us off of their asana.

But I also under my same email address, created another project that I am the owner of. For some reason, when they removed me it deleted all of my comments. Everything is gone.

One of my co-workers thankfully made a copy of our TASKS and gave me access to it on my email.

However, it doesnt show up for me.

It seems that there is 2 accounts made under my one email. Not aure how that is possible.

Is there any email?

Hi @Anthony_Alegrete sorry to hear about your issue.

Regarding the help center ‘glitch’, this was been known for a while. Try opening the page in an incognito tab.

Regarding your issue, if you can log into Asana, click on your profile in the top right corner. Do you see more than one Asana space listed in the popup menu? If so, try switching to another Asana space to see if you can find your projects and tasks there.

As for doing what you suggested. Yes I see the 2 accounts. But they are with both the same email. I dont want that. Id like it to be where its all under one email. And I can see the projects accordingly.

Also even though I see it. Every comment has been deleted. Why is that? I had soooooo much data on the comments. Thousands of comments.

I tried in incognito window and its doing the same thing. This is a MAJOR glitch. Does Asana plan on fixing this? We have absolutely no way of getting technical support. How can we get to a live human to help us?

You mentioned a co-worker made a copy your tasks. I would assume they exported and imported via CSV files? If so, it would be expected that comments would not be included in that process, sorry.

Next time try using Ditto.

tried many times at https://help.asana.com/
The page keeps reloading.
Chat bot after collecting answers to questions at the end of the process crashes and we start over. Drama.

@Forum-team here is another user still having the authentication issue.

I did see something that indicated it had been fixed but that doesn’t seem to be the case.

Hello ,

I know there was an issue with the Asana Help Center last year and being unable to communicate with support because there would be an authentication error when attempting to log in or use the chat. Asana acknowledged this and provided a temporary support request form while the issue was being resolved.

The problem is I have an urgent support request and this issue is still happening.

  • Any time I am directed to the Asana Help Center, I don’t get an option to choose if I want to log in or not to use the support chat – Within seconds of the page loading, the page automatically attempts to log me in (1st Screenshot)
  • Then the same Salesforce Authentication error shows up and I am unable to reach support. (2nd Screenshot)
  • I attempted to use the from they previously provided, but it has since been “deprecated” and says the issue is resolved. (3rd Screenshot)
  • When you click submit, it just redirects you to a Thank You page and no email is sent to confirm a case # or anything. (4th Screenshot)

I am not sure if this Authentication error has been resolved for others, but it certainly has not for me and I have no other means of obtaining support for my urgent request. Please help!

I have also attempted this in an incognito window and get the same result. Numerous other are having this issue as well from what I can see.

Hi, I keep getting the SalesForce error page whenever I try to login at help.asana.com or use the chatbot. I also tried the temporary form they set up for dealing with this and it now says it has been deprecated. I’m absolutely stuck and I can’t even get help. Is anyone here able to help me open a support ticket? Otherwise I’m going to have to bail out of Asana, which would be a shame.

@Elizabeth_Eidbo and @Nick70, sorry for the trouble. Can you please try to submit your request through the chat bot in incognito and without login in ? If this doesn’t work either, let me know and I will reach out to you via DM to help you get in touch with Support.

As soon as we have a new workaround available or the issue is completely resolved, we will post updates here in this thread.
