Is there an "undo" for sorting tasks in a project?

I have tasks separate by section. I accidentally clicked on Sort By button, and all the tasks sorted by due date. So now instead of tasks being in the appropriate section, they all jumped to the top of the screen in chronological order.

Can I undo this??

Some tasks no longer make sense if you don’t know what Section they belonged in. I didn’t realize how catastrophic this simple mistake could be.

Yes, you should be able. Took me a while to figure this out, not sure if it is explicitly documented anywhere. The way to undo a List Sort of any type - say, Sort by Assignee - is to sort again, and select “Sort by None”.

HOWEVERRRRR…Asana has at least 1 use case of a data-destructive sort (or sort/move). It’s here: Project list sort strips away all my due dates. No option to undo either - #14 by Stephanie_Oberg So be careful out there! :grimacing:
